Teach English and learn Spanish in Buenos Aires on Elebaires´ Spanish and TEFL Program! Take advantage of this unique and enriching opportunity to teach English while learning Spanish! By enrolling in the Spanish and TEFL program, you can make a living or just earn some extra travel and spending money by teaching English in Buenos Aires! Buenos Aires has a high demand for qualified English teachers with TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification which you will obtain at the completion of the program. The best part about being certified is that it lasts a lifetime! You can use it to travel from city to city, continent to continent or just to stay in Argentina and soak up all of the wonderful cultural and social activities that the cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires has to offer!
CLASS HOURS:
During the TEFL Course, students will be engaged in approximately 30 hours of classes per week. Once the Spanish Courses start, students will be involved in the intensive course which consists of 4 hour classes, 5 days a week. The classes are held in the mornings from 9am-1pm with a 15 minute break at 11am.
DURATION
Arrive in Buenos Aires (airport pick-up available upon request) and go directly to your local student residence, ensuring that you will still be immersed in Spanish and have plenty of time to practice over the 8 weeks of your stay.
At the beginning of your first week, you will start your 4 week TEFL course (120 total hours of instruction) where you will learn such fundamental skills as lesson planning, how to teach basic grammar and pronunciation, effective error correction techniques and listening and writing workshops. The course also includes real classroom practice with Argentine English students, providing you with invaluable feedback and, most importantly, we give you teaching position job placement assistance upon completion!
After finishing your TEFL course and getting your certification (and learning a lot about English!), you will definitely need to brush up on your Spanish, which is why you will go straight into 4 weeks of intensive group Spanish classes! Once you have mastered English AND Spanish, you can either fly home and correct your friends and family member's grammar or you can put your newfound language skills to use by teaching in Argentina or anywhere else in the world! Now that you speak Spanish and are TEFL certified, the possibilities are endless!
CLASS SIZE
Our Spanish language classes have a maximum limit of seven students. In the case that there are no other students on your level, your four hours of group classes will be replaced for two hours of private classes, without additional costs.
