Terms and Conditions
Course Cancellation Policy:
Group courses or lessons cannot be cancelled or made up and hence students will still be charged for cancellations. Students will not be charged if they cancel with at least 24 hours notice for individual lessons but will be if the individual lesson is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. If group or individual lessons are reserved by the student and are confirmed by Elebaires, the student must abide by the cancellation policy.

If the student wishes to cancel, refunds are as following:
• For cancellations made 15 days or more prior to arrival, Elebaires will refund 80% of the total program cost.
• For cancellations made 10 days prior to arrival Elebaires will refund 50% of the total program cost.
• For cancellations made less than 10 days before arrival 25% will be refunded of the total program cost.
• After a program has started there is no refund for any course, accommodation or other item booked.

Program Changes: If the student would like to change his/her program, the request must be made in writing to an appropiate Elebaires staff member in order for it to be recognized. The student will be charged for any changes to group classes and will be charged for changes made to individual lessons if they are made with less than 24 hours notice.

Payment: Courses must be paid for in full before the program start date (either the first day of housing or the course start date, whichever is first). The student must pay for the entire program of scheduled classes before the first day of his/her program. In order to reserve the Spanish Program, the student must pay a deposit of US$500 two weeks before the program start date. If the program cost is less than US $500, the total program balance must be paid. One week before the program start date, any remaining program balance must be paid in full.

Promotional Material: Elebaires does its best to ensure that all promotional materials are up to date and factual and makes all reasonable efforts to ensure that school courses, activities, accommodations, excursions and any other services are accurately described. Elebaires cannot be held responsible for any changes that occur to programs or services after publication but will try to update the student before or upon arrival of any changes.

Airport Pick Up: If the student purchases airport pick up, it is his/her responsibility to provide Elebaires with the correct flight information, including arrival date, flight number, airline and time of arrival. Elebaires is not responsible for picking up the student more than one hour after the scheduled arrival time. If the pickup cannot be completed due to flight delays, cancellations or any other reasons that are out of Elebaires´s control, the airport pick up cannot be rescheduled or refunded.

Holidays: Elebaires is closed on all nationally recognized Argentine holidays. The student will be given the opportunity to make up the classroom hours he/she missed due to the holiday if he/she so chooses. No refunds are given for classes missed due to holidays.

Teacher Changes: If students taking individual lessons need to change their schedule or take classes at different times throughout their program, Elebaires may not be able keep them with their same teacher. The student´s teacher may vary during group or individual lessons due to teacher availability.

Prices: We are not responsible for Elebaires prices or program information that is not updated on other web pages. Elebaires is free to change prices at will and will do its best to keep price information current on the official Elebaires website. All prices are expressed in USD and all courses and services can be paid in US dollars or the equivalent in Argentine pesos at the seller exchange rate designated by the Banco de la Nación de Argentina when the transaction is completed.

Student Code of Conduct: Students are expected to obey all local laws and respect local customs, cultural norms and host family rules and regulations. Elebaires is not responsible for students who do not abide by local laws and customs, and are not legally required to provide the student with any refund if they are expelled from their housing or their Spanish program. If the student is caught breaking the law during their program, Elebaires has the right to immediately terminate the student´s program without refunding the student. If a student is arrested, Elebaires is not responsible for providing the student with legal representation or bail but will contact his/her emergency contact as well as the student´s consulate.

Group Course Availability: If a student has enrolled in group lessons and there is no group available with the students´ same Spanish level, the student is entitled to receive the equivalent amount of individual lessons for the group course price. If the student does not want individual lessons, they may either wait for a group of his/her same level to form or are entitled to a refund for their group courses.

Housing Changes and Cancellations: Once housing is reserved, it can only be changed or cancelled in circumstances deemed extreme and necessary by Elebaires. A student is always welcome to extend their housing and if the same housing is available during the requested extension dates the student will stay in their same housing. Otherwise, the student will be offered an alternative housing option for the additional dates.

Insurance: Elebaires is not responsible for loss or theft of student’s property and any incidents or accidents that may occur inside or outside the school, for which we recommend students have medical and travel insurance. Elebaires offers insurance for students that wish to purchase an insurance policy.

Company Liability: Elebaires is not liable where the school is represented by agents, travel agencies, tour operators or other organizations. Elebaires is not responsible for any problems that occur based on incorrect information provided to Elebaires by third party agents or other organizations. These matters must be handled between the agent and the student and Elebaires is not liable for any compensation or damages in these instances. We recommend that the student seek compensation directly with the agent or other organization.

Elebaires is not liable for any risks you may be exposed to during your time in Buenos Aires and or while at the school. These risks may include, but are not limited to: personal injury, property damage, theft, sickness, accidents, terrorism, and war. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, the student assumes all risks and agrees to not hold Elebaires and its employees accountable for any and all liability that may arise on Elebaires´s programs inside and outside of Buenos Aires.
