Elebaires Spanish for Business was created especially for business students, recent graduates, MBA candidates, and young professionals looking to build their resumes and enhance their Spanish with specific, fundamental and relevant Spanish. Spanish for Business is a customized Intensive Group Spanish Course* with the addition of individual lessons focusing on business and Latin American Business practices. The Business Program includes a total of 80 in-class hours over the period of one month. Regardless of your current Spanish level, you will find this to be an intensive, valuable and challenging course.


At the end of the Spanish for Business program you’ll be able to successfully communicate in the following situations:

• Writing professional letters and emails
• When and how to use common business jargon
• Make meaningful contributions in a business meeting

This program is customized, so it is effective and challenging for all Spanish levels, in all areas of business.

It is intensive, designed to fit a semester’s worth of knowledge (or much more) into four weeks.

This course combines Spanish fundamentals, Spanish for Business conversation, activities and role play, and 20 hours of individual lessons customized for your business major or for your job.

Learn “inside information” about the cultural differences in doing business in Argentina and Latin America

Practice writing professional letters and emails, using common business lingo.

Role-play making and answering phone calls, introducing your co-workers, and taking part in a business meeting. Learn to differentiate formal and every day phrases.

Plenty of outside-the-classroom learning- including a trip to the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange, a tour of one of the best business schools in South America, and a chance to meet one-on-one with an Argentine young professional and chat in Spanish about their work life.

A country-hopping excursion to Uruguay is included! Spend the day discovering the quaint city of Colonia, an hour by ferry, but a world’s apart from Buenos Aires.

Course Details:

80 hours of instruction: 40 hours Fundamentals of Spanish small group sessions, 20 hours customized, one-on-one Spanish for Business classes, 20 hours Spanish for Business small group lessons, role-plays, activities and conversation.

The first two weeks emphasize Spanish fundamentals to learn, review and enhance the student’s abilities for general conversation, thus making business lessons far more effective. You’ll take four hours of small group fundamentals classes daily followed by a private Spanish for Business class. Your fundamentals class is grouped with students of all disciplines who share your Spanish level.

Classes use a combination of written grammar exercises, listening activities, conversation, debates, songs, games and plenty of chance to speak, speak, speak (and, of course, laugh!!) Your individual classes will focus on your particular area of business, and your professor tailors them to cover specifically what you told us you wanted to learn in your pre-trip evaluation.

During these first two weeks you’ll visit the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange, and be paired with your Porteno Partner, a local young professional who will meet with you to chat about their work life, answer your questions, and surely ask plenty of their own!

During the second two weeks, you’ll split your days between private Spanish for Business lessons and small group Spanish for Business classes. You’ll take a class or two outside to a park, sit in a cafe, or just take a trip to the store to keep the learning dynamic. Together you’ll have the chance to see what a prominent business school is like, with a tour of the La Universidad de la Empresa in Buenos Aires.
