The Photo of the Year! Matt in the Aconcagua, Mendoza.

Aconcagua is a mountain, 7,025.4 m (23,034 ft) high, in the Andes of western Argentina near the Chilean border. The highest peak of the Western Hemisphere, it was first scaled in 1897. Matt, a student at Elebaires, embarked on this difficult yet rewarding experience of climbing to the top of this majestic mountain. This mountain is the real test for true adventure seekers but please be careful, climbing this mountain can be very dangerous and is only permitted to do so with professional guides. The typical trip up Aconcagua takes 12 to 15 days and it is advisable to arrive and spend 4 to 5 nights minimum at the base, Plaza de Mulas, in order to acclimatize before beginning your journey up the mountain. Once you finish this adventure it is surely to be one that you will never forget, for Matt arriving to the summit of Aconcangua was the most special moment he had of his time in Argentina.
