I have to say that Argentina is the country of meat. Compare with other countries the meat in Argentina is rich and has a good taste. In general, people in Argentina eat more meat than fish and you will understand why. My opinion, when you buy meat at the butler, it is already really good meat. You will be surprised you made this meat yourself because it tastes so good it looks like it came from an expensive restaurant in Argentina. Or maybe you just improved your cooking skills? You can eat the best meat during Picadas (Argentinian BBQ) and in restaurants.

Second: Dulce de leche

You can compare Dulce de leche with chocolate paste. It is a strong taste. I know people who like it and don’t like it. So, it’s really personal for the person. You can buy it in any supermarket. Also in San Telmo you have a Dulce de leche store, where you can buy all the different flavors of Dulce de leche. If you like the taste of Dulce de leche, you should really visit this store in San Telmo.

Third: Alfajores

It is an Argentinian cookie of two layers. The center is filled with Dulce de Leche. The outside can be white, milk or dark chocolate. Because it is a real Argentinian cookie, you must take this type of cookie. You can buy them in a bakery, supermarkets and markets in San Telmo for example.

Drinking maté is primarily a social affair in Argentina, you do this mainly with friends and family around you to socialize. Maté is a combination of bitter and sweet.
