Corona

You leave the house, excited about meeting new people, moving into a new city and partying like you’ve never partied before, right? No! The effects of the corona crisis have a huge impact on your life as a student. Even though the world is implementing the vaccine, it will take a long time to before your dream college life is restored to all its greatness. Take a year off just to up the level of your college experience so when you do take the leap and move out to start studying, it’s worth it.

Independency

You see, even though you might think you already got it all figured out, you don’t! It make sound boring or not even close to being exciting at all, however the only way to become independent is to actually be responsible for your own food, costs, etc. You’ll learn to become financially more aware and since the costs of a gap year are nowhere near cheap, you will have to work hard before spending it. The independency you’ll pick up during a gap year will give you a hue advantage when you’re off to college since you won’t have to learn the same lesson twice.

Explore

The last reason why you should take a gap year before studying: To explore. The world has so much to offer, so when are you going to go and see it? When you’re 45 with two kids and a labradoodle in a family home? Or when you’re 19, full of energy  and eagerness to experience new things. South America is one of the most amazing travel destinations with adventurous trips like the 5-day machu picchu hike but also one of the best beaches in the world called Ipanema beach in Rio de Janeiro.
