Payments for Spanish programs can be made by credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express) via PayPal or with a bank transfer before the program start date. Current students who want to extend their programs can also pay in cash (U.S. dollars or Argentine pesos) in person at the school.

10. Holidays

Elebaires will close for Argentine public holidays. Elebaires will endeavor to communicate these changes as soon as they have been formally announced. Elebaires will make up the lessons missed due to holidays.

11. Class Information

Classes are held Monday – Friday from 9:00 to 13:00 leaving the rest of the day free to explore Buenos Aires. Private Spanish lessons take place in the afternoons. Elebaires has also a very wide variety of free after school activities to take part in during the afternoons.

12. Accommodation Information

Here at Elebaires, we can help you find a housing option that best suits your needs and expectations for studying abroad in Argentina. We offer several different options such as student residences, family home-stay, shared apartments and hotels or hostels. It is very important that our students have a great stay in the city, that’s why we carefully screen all of our places and only recommend the most interesting places. For more information, visit our section of accommodation or visit our blog for our postings on accommodation.

13. Level of Spanish

When you register for a course with Elebaires, we will send you a placement written test and an oral evaluation. From these two tests an assessment will be made and you will be placed accordingly in a group of students that have a similar level of Spanish as you do. Do not worry if you do not speak a word of Spanish – many of our students have no prior Spanish knowledge before they arrive. You will, however, be speaking Spanish in the classroom from your first day.

14. Transfers

We offer an airport pick-up service where you to be met upon arrival inside the airport and transported to your accommodation. For students who are not interested in this option, we recommend you arrange a taxi from the taxi desk at the arrival entrance where you will pay a flat rate up-front.

15. Cancellation due to causes out of Elebaires control.

Elebaires will not be liable for any failure to comply with obligations (and therefore shall not be required to pay compensation) if the failure is occasioned by any cause beyond Elebaires´ reasonable control; nor shall Elebaires be responsible for any costs incurred by or on behalf of the student as a result of any such case. Such causes shall include but are not limited to fire, flood, war, riot, embargo, organized labor stoppage, unusually adverse weather conditions, acts of civil or military authorities, acts of terrorism, acts of god, pandemics etc.

16. Complaints

In the unlikely event that a student wishes to submit a formal complaint, ensure that this is brought to the attention of Elebaires prior to the end of the program.

17. Supervision

Neither Elebaires nor its accommodation hosts provide supervision for adult students (18+years of age) who book a program. Students who are less than 18 years old are required to have consent from their parents to study. Those travelling alone need to posses any necessary documentation allowing their stay in Argentina.

18. Code of Conduct & Expulsion

Students should act in a respectful manner towards fellow students, teachers, staff and people who are not directly involved with the school such as accommodation hosts and / or activity guides. Elebaires reserves the right to expel students from the program or accommodation at its discretion if it finds students in breach of its basic code of conduct (supplied in the welcome pack). No refund will be given. Students must pay the full cost of any damage to property and are expected to obey the laws and adapt to the customs of their host country and host family (if applicable).

19. Photography & Filming

Elebaires may take promotional photographs and video footage of students. If students do not wish to participate, Elebaires will respect their wishes.
