Avenida de Mayo is one of the most important historical avenues in Buenos Aires and connects the Plaza de Mayo where the president residence is located with the Congress. It is flanked from beautiful antique buildings such as our loved Palacio Barolo or the historical Café Tortoni. The avenue was named in honor of the May Revolution of 1810; the event that led to Argentine Independence.
