Our students from all over the world: lets meet a few of them!

One of the amazing things about studying in a language school is the opportunity one gets to meet people from all over the world.  Since studying here I have had the privilege of learning Spanish alongside people from so many different nationalities and cultures.  Elebaires provides a dynamic learning environment and every week brings new experiences.  The school emulates a family environment and welcomes anyone, young or old, all nationalities and religions, it really is an inclusive and fun place to be.

Recently here at Elebaires we have had The Black family from Halifax Canada, they stayed with us for almost a month.  The Blacks, Anthony, Anne Marie and Sophia 9, really made the most out of their time at Elebaires visiting all of the tourist hot spots in Buenos Aires and learning about the Argentinian culture.  Everyone loved having them in the school and we were very sad to see them go!

Another of our students, George from California, had travelled a lot of the world but chose Buenos Aires as his next Adventure to learn Spanish and mingle with the Porteño’s.  George was very knowledgable and had lots of interesting stories which he shared. He had written a book about the Language of Success which we were lucky enough to get a sneak peak of, maybe after his time in Argentina he could write his book in Spanish?!

Jur came to visit us from the Netherlands before departing on his travels around South America.  Jur’s Spanish improved dramatically throughout his time here.  He made some fabulous friends and was a great student, Jur if you are reading this we would love you to come and visit us again.

Every couple of weeks we have an international lunch on a Friday.  Each student brings something to share that they consider stereotypical food from their country.  This is a fantastic opportunity to try food from other cultures, sit and have a chat with other students and practice Spanish.  Jur brought in a delicious sweet bread with sugar on it, in Dutch it is called “Wentelteefjes”.  We have also sampled some sushi rice balls and marmite all the way from New Zealand!  It is great to meet people from other countries and learn about their cultures and traditions.  Come and learn Spanish here at Elebaires and meet people from all over the world, there is much more on offer than just your average Spanish course.
