Nightlife in Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires is an amazing city. To study Spanish, to study, to work, to travel, whatever your reason is to come to Buenos Aires, you are going to have a great time! An important part of life, especially for the younger students, is the nightlife. With a huge amount of restaurants, bars and nightclubs, is the nightlife in Buenos Aires amazing as well. Restaurants

Just like in most Latin American countries, is dinner probably a bit later than you are used to; Argentinians usually eat between 21:00 and 00:00. A lot of restaurants open earlier so it you are hungry before those times, you can already go there. The many restaurants in the Palermo and San Telmo neighborhoods have a very nice atmosphere where you can enjoy a night out.

Bars and clubs

After dining at a restaurant to your liking, you can very easily walk into one of the many great bars located all over the center of Buenos Aires. This is also a good plan if you are planning on going out to a club, since they don’t get crowded before 02:00. The nightlife in Buenos Aires really starts deep in the night. The Argentinians don’t only eat really late, they start partying very late as well. It is not hard at all to amuse yourself in the meanwhile though. In the center there is e very nice atmosphere and they make it even more cool with the so called hidden or speak easy bars. One for example looks like you walk into a New York subway station, through the hall and even through an actual subway cabin, into the bar.

Events

There are also a lot of events organized by the city of Buenos Aires. So is there every Monday Bomba de Tiempo, a live music act that provides music on drums in all shapes and sizes. After Bomba de Tiempo, they walk in a procession, while drumming, to the after party to keep the party going.
