Online classes : My experience

Online classes. If you like them or not, it’s something we all have to accept and accumulate too in the world we live in. I’ve been taking online Spanish classes at Elebaires for a couple of weeks now and I would love to share my experience with all of you.

Solamente Español

The first couple of lessons are hard, there is no way of sugarcoating this. When listening to a foreign language which you are not particulary familiar with, it will never be easy. However, because the main language spoken in these classes is Spanish, you’ll learn Spanish whilst getting the explanation in Spanish aswell! This will have a positive influence on your vocabulary aswell as it provides you with countless examples of sentences which you can copy.

Buenos profesores

Nice professors, ofcourse I would have to say this, since they’re probably reading this right now… Jokes aside, they really are. The last time I was ‘learning’ a language I was still in high school. I remember not liking my teachers and not feeling appreciated whenever I wouldn’t perform well in class. Even though I’m thousands of miles away from my teachers now, the online classes are quite personal.  The intesivity, patience and enthiousiasm the teachers apply to the class, no matter my ‘performance’, makes it worth wile!

Muchos juegos

Whilst learning Spanish, as it is

with every other language, repeating is key. However, it’s about how you choose to repeat something as well as the quantity of repeating. When learning about conjugating the most common verbs in the Spanish language, we’ll play a word game wherein certain letters are given and some pictures are shown. Also the knowledge that is presented to you has to be applied to your own life! Who are you? What do you like? Etc. This increases your vocabulary in the most important areas since you’ll actually use this when meeting new people. Finally my favorite ‘juego’ : Kahoot!! I guess almost everyone has heard of Kahoot by now but if you haven’t then you can find out at Elebaires. Currently I am on a unbeaten double- winstreak and I wouldn’t bet against myself in the future…
