Our top places to have lunch near Elebaires

After morning classes in Elebaires, we normally find a nice restaurant or café to have lunch as a group. There are many places to go around the area but some of our favourites are:

1) Las Medialunas del Abuelo

This is a great little café just around the corner from the school. They do the best sandwiches in the area and of course, their medialunas are cooked to perfection! My favourite is the “medialuna con jamón y queso tostada” (toasted ham and cheese croissant) which is a real speciality of Argentina. This restaurant is a good choice for those looking for cheap, but tasty and authentic Argentine food.

2) La Continental

La Continental is on the corner opposite the school. We often go here for lunch as it is so close, the service is fast and, for us, it serves the best empanadas in the area! They also have delicious pizzas which you can order per slice or as a whole. The price is very reasonable, ranging between AR $40 to $80.

3) Pizzería Güerrín

This is one of the best pizzerias in Buenos Aires. It even says so in the Lonely Planet! They offer a quick option with pre-heated pizzas which can be eaten standing up with the rest of the crowd, at only AR $8 per slice, or you can have a sit and order a freshly baked pizza.
