Thanksgiving in Argentina…

Since 2005 Elebaires Spanish School has been celebrating Thanksgiving with our students… why?

“…As a teacher, I was always interested in getting to know more about my students traditions, and I think Thanksgiving is the most important celebration for Americans, more than Christmas… it was fantastic for me when a lovely couple from California invited me and my husband to their home to celebrate it… I started to understand more about the celebration after living it with them…” Laura, our director said.

“…Traditions, meals, meetings, family reunions, are very important for cultures all over the world. I want to thank all of our students that have been sharing with us those celebrations although far away from home…” Laura added.

And this year will be again a great opportunity to celebrate Thanksgiving also here in Buenos Aires. We share and learn about recipes, dishes, stories, and we are happy to learn more about each other. There is a lot of intercultural exchange in our multicultural classes, we are proud of it!
