When a new student starts to take lessons, the week begins with an assessment to determine the Spanish level. During this first conversation is explained what the week looks like. After that, students are added to a group chat to get in contact with other students. On Monday, the students introduce themselves to their group and (learn how to) tell something about their lives, their family and the country/culture they come from.On Tuesday, the stude-
nts join the teacher outside. Through this interactive walk, the students learn about shops and shopping-habits in Argentina. Elebaires is always focussing on improving the way they teach; taking the students outside and stimulating them to learn by doing is one of the ways Elebaires has improved over the years for instance.
The next days include classes that focus on grammar and learning the in’s and outs of the Spanish. The combination of hands-on language and grammar enables students to improve their capabilities very fast. After the classes, the students meet up to see touristic sights and discover the city. Most students claim to have had an amazing time at Elebaires due to many factors. The students learn a lot, get to see the beautiful city and culture and due to the lovely activities, they make new friend for life. On Friday, the week ends with an asado. An asado is a traditional form of a BBQ in Argentina. During this asado, the students get to know the culture even better and taste the amazing meat that Argentina has to offer.
As told, many students have claimed to find their week of Spanish lessons in Buenos Aires at Elebaires an amazing experience. As a result of the lessons, they learned how to communicate with the Porteño (citizens of Buenos Aires). Next to that, they personally grew by getting out of their comfort zone and learned a new language!
