Argentina opens its borders again!
From October 1, Argentina reopens the borders with neighboring countries and from November 1 with all other countries. We are back! Restrictions due to the Covid 19 pandemic are to be eased. This is possible because the number of cases has decreased and the vaccination plan is progressing.
As of November 1, tourists will be allowed to enter Argentina again. But what do you need to enter the country? Here’s a checklist:
- You need a complete vaccination schedule with the date of your last vaccination. This should have been done up to 14 days before your arrival in the country.
- A negative PCR test up to 72 hours before entry. You can also do an antigen test at the point of entry.
- You still need to do a PCR test on the 5th to 7th day after arrival.
People who do not have a complete vaccination schedule must do a quarantine, antigen test at the point of entry and a PCR test on day 7. This also applies to minors.
Once 50% of the population is fully vaccinated, the antigen test at entry (which does not apply to the unvaccinated) and the PCR test on day 5-7 are eliminated.
These regulations are designed to reduce the workload of hospitals and keep death rates low.
In addition, you should still follow these measures when Argentina opens its borders:
You don’t have to wear a mouth/nose protection outside anymore. However, only where there are NO groups of people. In closed rooms they are still mandatory. These are for example classrooms, cinemas, in public transportation, etc. As soon as there are groups of people outdoors, you must also wear your mask.
Larger gatherings are not limited to the number of people. But you should pay attention to mask, distance and airing.
If you want to enter the country without vaccination, you have to do a 10-day quarantine. On day 7 you have to take a test and if it is negative you are allowed to end your quarantine.
You can also book all courses as usual. However, you can pay later when it is really sure that you will travel to Argentina.
