Argentina is seducing tourists

With its incredibly diverse landscapes and strong culture, Argentina, attracts more and more tourists each year. Tango, carne, vinos, empanadas the list goes on! All tourists from abroad start their journey in Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires, is known to be the Paris of Latin-America. This city is huge and has a lot to offer!  In April, the number of tourist arrivals in Aeroparque Jorge Newbery and Ezeiza airport grew by 4.1 percent, compared to the same month last year!

Where are these tourists from?

Of the 184,300 arrivals in April, 25 percent came from Europe and 12.4 percent arrived in the United States and Canada. The “Rest of America” category, which includes visitors from Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador and Peru, among others, recorded an 8 percent increase year-on-year and represented 15.2 percent of all tourists. While arrivals of Brazilian tourists grew by 15.5 percent, 23 percent of total arrivals.

As Argentina is a long-hall destination, it is not surprising that Europeans stay the longest in Argentina, with an average of 20 days stay while the rest stay an average of 13 days. It takes time to discover this amazing and – not to mention- huge country.

The ministry of National Tourism is working on ways to keep increasing the number of tourists from abroad  by enabling the reimbursement of VAT on accommodations and working a better aerial connectivity. Therefore, we can only expect a steady increase of tourists in the future.
