Dog walkers in Buenos Aires

Do you know that feeling that you really would like to have a dog but you just don’t have enough time, because you need to work? In Buenos Aires they have the perfect solution. In the city of Buenos Aires they have dog walkers also known as the paseadores de perros.

Dog walkers is big business in Buenos Aires, everywhere you go you will see these people walking with lots of dogs on their side with the belt strapped to their body. With a group of about fifteen dogs they are walking to one of the many parks throughout the city. In these parks the dogs can poop, pee and play together.
To be a dog walker is just a normal job like any other in this city. The funny thing about the dog walkers is that they all look a bit the same. Most of them have dreadlocks and wear baggy clothes.

There is a rule during this job and that is that the dogs are split in groups, the big dogs walk together, the small and medium-size dogs together. Each dog will be walked 4/5 hours a day from Monday to Friday, there are a few dog walkers who also work on Saturday but this is not common. There are two different shifts there is one shift in the morning and the other shift of in the afternoon.

The normal price you will pay for a dog walker is $100ARG per month. Besides walking with the dog some of the dog walkers also wash the dog or keep them for a few days if the owner is on holiday for example.
