Another successful trip to Iguazú Falls!

During the holiday weekend, we organized a trip to Iguazu with Elebaires students from all over the world. The warm weather was a nice break from the chilly May air in Buenos Aires. We all boarded an overnight bus and arrived in Puerto Iguazu on Thursday May 25th.

From there, we made a pit stop at La Triple Frontera, where the Iquazu and Parana rivers converge and separate the borders of Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina. It was a remarkable sight that several students described as the most amazing thing they have ever seen (at this point, they hadnt seen the Falls yet!).

Later that night, we enjoyed an asado at the hostel with lots of chori pan and bife de lomo. The asado was a great opportunity for the students to practice their spanish and also meet other travelers from all over the world.

Early the next morning, we headed towards Iguazu National Park. Once we arrived, we met our wonderful tour guide and started our hike towards the falls. Throughout the day, we encountered numerous Coatis, which are a member of the racoon family. These little creatures were very cute, but quite aggressive when they were hungry for our snacks!

Elebaires students were amazed at the sight of the beautiful falls and the rest of the day was spent hiking to as many viewpoints as we could. Some of the students even went on a speed boat while the driver drove them under some of the falls! The students were soaked, but said they would do it a thousand times over if they could!
