Getting around in Buenos Aires
After my first weeks in Buenos Aires, I am getting the hang of it regarding to getting around in Buenos Aires. Since it is quite a big city and there are various fun and interesting areas, you might not be able to walk everything. From my house to Elebaires to study Spanish, from studying Spanish to going to a museum and so on. But that鈥檚 no problem at all! The public transport system is working quite well and is very cheap!

Bus
The easiest (and cheapest) way to get around in Buenos Aires is the bus. There are so many bus lines and one of them will definitely take you to your destination. I said it was easy but if you are used (like I was) to screens in the bus which tell you where you are exactly and when which stop will be you will have to pay a little more attention. You could get out to late which means you will have to go back a bus stop or walk a bit further than planned (which happened to me a couple times). A ride on the bus will only cost you 6 or 6.50 pesos wherever you want to go.
Subte
The Subte, or metro, is a lot easier since you can see at what station it is stopping. The Subte network is very extensive as well, you can get out at stations close to your destination and walk the rest. The Subte is very cheap as well; a ride will cost you about 7 pesos.
Taxi
And then of course there is, like in every big city, the taxi. These aren鈥檛 very expensive either, depending on the distance and time obviously. They might sometimes try to make some extra turns to extend the ride but it won鈥檛 matter that much regarding the costs. Uber is also getting very big in Buenos Aires so if you feel more comfortable taking an Uber, just download the app (keep in mind that you have to connect it to your credit card!).

How do I get where I want to be? How do I know which buses to take? Well there is a very good application for this; Como Llego. Just write down your starting point and your destination and it will show you which buses or Subte to take and which route you will have to walk, very easy!
