My Internship in Elebaires

I am currently in my third year of university in England where I study Spanish as part of my course. I am therefore required to spend 6 months in a Spanish speaking country. I had always wanted to come to Argentina and this seemed like the perfect chance.
I was put in touch with Maria Laura (the founder of the school) by a friend who had done an internship with the school the year before. This was great as it allowed me to have a solid plan and I knew exactly what I was doing before leaving the UK. I was worried at one point that I would arrive in Argentina with nothing looking for a job.

My role as an intern at Elebaires meant that I received lessons in the morning in exchange for working in the afternoons.
From the moment I arrived at the school I was really looked after and made to feel part of the team. All of the office staff were so friendly towards me and helped me so much until I found my feet. This was so great as it was my first proper job in an office and didnt really know what to expect.
I was also able to improve my Spanish so much through the morning lessons. I was never in a class with more than 5 people and during some weeks there were only 2 of us. Elebaires are so good at keeping the classes small which gives you a great advantage when it come to learning.
The teachers were always fantastic! They really know how to keep the classes fun whilst ensuring that you are progressing. I am extremely grateful to Lillie who taught me for the 4 months and who I learnt so much from. Her teaching was invaluable and I cant thank her enough. The student and teacher relationships are so good at the school which really helps with the learning process. Often after the classes students and teachers would go for drinks or even go parties at each others houses over the weekend.
I was also able to gain great experience in the area of sales and marketing through the work I did in the afternoon. I was able to develop many new skills in these areas. I would also be forced to practice my Spanish as I would often have to send emails in Spanish or talk to local clients on the phone.

Elebaires really was a great atmosphere and thing to be part of. I cannot thank the school and Laura enough for everything that they did for me. It was a fantastic experience and something that I will never forget!!
