Patagonia is the one destination that has a spot on the bucket lists of many people all around the world. There are multiple ways to get to Patagonia. For example, you could take a bus, hire a car or book a flight to one of the cities in the amazing area. In this blog, we advise you on what to do on your trip to El Calafate, the Perito Moreno glacier and the amazing southernmost city; Ushuaia.
These days, thousands of people travel to Patagonia after their trip to Buenos Aires. They first get to know the amazing Argentine culture in the busy city and then they discover the beautiful nature the country has to offer.
What to do in El Calafate?
A place that is quite easy to reach by plane is El Calafate. El Calafate is famous, because it is very close to the Perito Moreno glacier. Whenever you plan to travel to El Calafate and the nearby Perito Moreno glacier, make sure to plan ahead. We advise to book online upfront. At the glacier, you have the possibility to do a broad variety of activities: you could for example do a boat trip that takes you very close to the ice or actually set foot on the glacier with a mini-trekking. Despite El Calafate being amazing, we saved the best for last. Ushuaia! The southernmost city of Ushuaia is a place that you are going to remember for the rest of your life. The best things to do in Ushuaia are the train “to the end of the world”, the boat trip through the Beagle Channel and a hike to ‘Laguna Esmeralda’. The hike is free!
